Hand-held pneumatic rock drills are compressed-air percussion tools that the operator controls directly for portable drilling work. This collection compares PerfoMax’s current Y19A and Y24 reference configurations for mining, quarrying, construction and other rock-drilling tasks. Use it when you need to produce holes and can safely manage the tool by hand. If the job requires sustained supported feed, move to an air-leg rock drill. If the task is breaking or chipping rather than drilling a defined hole, compare pneumatic picks instead.

Use the Y19A product page as the first screening point when the job fits a 34–40 mm reference range, downward or inclined hand-held drilling, and the site can deliver the documented 4–5 bar and airflow requirement at the drill. Its current 19 kg reference is lower than the Y24 reference, but safe handling still requires two-hand control, the supplied operating instructions, suitable PPE and jobsite dust control.
Use the Y24 product page when the requirement fits its current 34–42 mm, H22 × 108 mm and 0.4–0.63 MPa supply references. Confirm that the compressor, hose and connections can meet the final airflow requirement. Y24 is a hand-held model in the current registry; it is not the same procurement identity as the YT24 air-leg family.

No. The current PerfoMax registry treats Y24 as a hand-held pneumatic rock drill and YT24 as an air-leg family that still requires YT24C or TY24 identification. Do not substitute one by similar name.
The current reference weights are 19 kg for Y19A and 24 kg for Y24. Weight is only one selection field; drilling direction, hole size, air supply and safe handling still control the decision.
Not by assumption. The quotation should separately list the drill body, drill steel, bit, hose, couplings, lubricator and spare parts.
Only if it can deliver the required pressure and airflow at the drill after hose, coupling and distribution losses. Send delivered-air data, hose size and length rather than the compressor power rating alone.
