Compatibility and Required Interfaces
Drill Steels and Bits
H22 × 108 mm shank; 34–42 mm matched bit range
Tapered rod and bit system matched to hole depth, taper and rock condition
Confirm rod length, taper angle, bit diameter and bit design against the required hole depth, abrasiveness and local replacement preference.
Air Leg
Compatible FT160-series air leg
Air-leg configuration matched to drilling direction, feed length, working height and available space
Air-leg model naming and specifications can vary by manufacturer. Confirm the required feed stroke and installation interface against the supplied unit.
Line Oiler
FY200B or compatible in-line lubricator
Lubricator and pneumatic-tool oil suitable for the selected hose and air-supply configuration
Continuous lubrication is essential. Lubricator setting and oil grade must follow the supplied operating manual and site conditions.
Pneumatic Drilling Performance
Flapper-Valve Air Distribution
The valve system controls alternating compressed-air flow to the piston to support repeatable percussion and rotation cycles.
Buyer value
Supports stable drilling when air pressure at the tool inlet, lubrication and hose sizing are maintained within the required operating range.
Selection condition
Impact frequency and air consumption are pressure-specific. Hose losses, leakage and compressor capacity directly affect field performance.
Wet-Drilling and Air-Leg System
The YT28 is operated with water flushing and a compatible air leg to provide feed support during underground, tunneling and rock-excavation drilling.
Buyer value
Enables a complete drilling setup that combines percussion, feed support, flushing, drill steel and bit selection around the job-site conditions.
Selection condition
Confirm air-leg model and feed length, water supply, drilling direction, rod lengths and bit range before quotation.
Application Scenarios
Underground mining
Tunneling
Quarry and civil rock excavation

Configuration Inputs
Air Supply: Size compressor capacity from the pressure-specific tool-demand reference and the maximum credible number of simultaneous tools. Add other simultaneous air users and measured leakage on a comparable flow-reference basis. Apply altitude, temperature and other site corrections only once to the compressor's delivered-capacity data, using the manufacturer's method; engineer distribution pressure loss separately. Verify dynamic pressure at the drill inlet under combined load.
Shank Geometry: Confirm exact ISO H22x108mm tapered hexagonal shank specification for strike alignment
Confirm the approved FT160-series suffix, mounting, retracted/extended length and feed travel for the quoted YT28 setup
System Lubrication: Use only a line oiler and rock-drill lubricant confirmed for the exact supplied model and operating temperature; confirm the applicable controlled manual and quoted supply scope before ordering.
Operating Limits
Max Rated Inlet Pressure: 0.63 MPa (91 PSI)
Minimum Functional Pressure: 0.4 MPa (58 PSI)
Max Recommended Water Pressure: 0.3 MPa (must be 0.1 MPa below air supply)
Air Hose: Confirm hose inside diameter from the pressure-specific required flow, total length, couplings, branch/header arrangement and allowable pressure drop. A local tool connection or short-hose reference does not size a long or shared upstream line.
The air-leg suffix is not fixed by this page; use only the approved suffix stated in the written quotation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the YT28 suitable for my drilling application?
The YT28 is generally selected for wet blast-hole drilling in medium-hard and hard rock, with a recommended hole diameter of 34–42 mm and drilling depths up to approximately 5 m. For model selection, provide rock type, drilling direction, hole diameter, depth, air pressure at the tool and expected daily workload.
What air supply is required for one YT28?
The system must maintain the required pressure at the rock drill, not only at the compressor outlet. Published air consumption is up to approximately 55 L/s at 0.50 MPa and 81 L/s at 0.63 MPa. Allow additional compressor capacity for hose pressure loss, couplings, leakage, altitude and simultaneous pneumatic tools.
What lubrication and water-flushing conditions are required?
Continuous lubrication and wet drilling are essential. Use a compatible in-line lubricator with suitable pneumatic-tool oil, maintain water flushing, purge hoses before connection and check the air and water passages before each shift. Follow the supplied operating manual and local occupational-safety requirements.
Does the quotation include the air leg, lubricator, drill rods and bits?
Not automatically. The rock-drill body, air leg, lubricator, hoses, drill rods, bits and spare-parts package are listed separately unless the quotation clearly states that a complete drilling set is included. For a complete set, specify drilling direction, working height, rod lengths, hole diameter and delivery country.
Required Drill-Steel, Air and Feed Interfaces
A complete YT28 system may include an approved FT160-series air leg; the exact suffix, mounting and feed travel are confirmed in the written quotation.
We will confirm the drill body, shank and drill-steel interface, bit connection, dry or wet setup, air leg or feed, lubricator, hose and water setup, accessories, supply scope and export packing.
