Lock the Shank and Drill-Steel System Separately

Treat the Pusher Leg as a Separate Compatibility Decision

A pusher leg is not simply an accessory that can be selected by visual similarity. It supplies support and feed thrust, and its mounting, controls, travel, retracted/extended length and piston geometry must suit the drill and working space.

Specify Flushing and Lubrication in the Same RFQ

Two quotations can appear to describe the same rock drill but assume different site services. Clarify whether the job uses water flushing, air flushing or another supplier-approved arrangement, and state what connections/accessories are required.

Lubrication should also be explicit. Pneumatic rock drills require a reliable oil supply. The RFQ should state whether the package needs an in-line oiler or another approved arrangement and should ask the supplier to state the recommended rock-drill oil specification for the actual ambient and operating conditions.
