Technical Review Scope

Configuration and Quotation Guidance

Compatibility and Required Interfaces

Drill rod

H22 tapered drill rod

Same taper angle and matching socket depth

Do not mix 7°, 11° and 12° systems.

Rock drill and drill steel

H22 drilling system

Rock-drill chuck, H22 rod and bit must form one matched string

Confirm whether the current rod uses an H22 × 108 mm striking interface or another H22 configuration.

Cutting Face and Taper Interface

Matched Taper Seating

The bit socket seats on a drill rod with the same taper angle to transfer percussion and rotation.

Buyer value

Correct matching supports repeatable seating and reduces interface damage caused by mixed taper systems.

Selection condition

Confirm taper angle, socket dimensions and insertion depth by drawing, gauge, sample or clear photos.

Application Scenarios

  • Handheld rock drilling
  • Quarrying and secondary blasting
  • Road, tunneling and foundation work

Frequently Asked Questions

Can 7°, 11° and 12° taper bits be interchanged?
No. The drill rod and bit must use the same taper angle and compatible socket dimensions. Mixing systems can cause poor seating, energy loss and premature interface damage.
What information is needed for an H22 button-bit quotation?
Send diameter, taper angle, existing rod or bit photos, socket dimensions if available, rock type, preferred face/button design, flushing arrangement and quantity.

Matched Tapered Drilling System

A matched H22 tapered drilling system combines the rock drill, H22 rod, 30–40 mm bit, confirmed taper angle, flushing and lubrication.
